A New Robust Blind Watermarking Scheme Based on Steerable pyramid and DCT using Pearson product moment correlation

چکیده

In this paper, we present a new, robust digitalwatermarking scheme for ownership protection. Thescheme is based on Steerable Pyramid (SP) and discretecosine transform (DCT) using Pearson product momentcorrelation. During the process of watermark embedding,SP is performed on original host image, and correspondingoriented sub-band is selected to carry the watermark. DCTis applied to each block of size 8x8 of the selected sub-band.Two independent streams representing the watermark areembedded in low and mid-frequency of DCT components.Watermark detection is based on comparison result betweenPearson product moment correlations of the twoindependent streams with each watermarked block. Theexperimental results demonstrate good visualimperceptibility and resiliency of the proposed schemeagainst an intentional and un-intentional variety of attacks.
